Location: Portland
Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for continuous improvement of the Module equipment.
- Responsible for modifications to the web handling equipment for the Roll to Roll process.
- Manage budget, schedules and technology risks.
- Develop and define equipment controls.
- Establish continuous equipment improvement plan in order to minimize equipment down time and reduce the cost of ownership.
- Define and provide procedures and training for the equipment maintenance team.
- Work in conjunction with the process development engineer in the incorporation of all new products.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing organization.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree or B.S. with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with roll to roll equipment.
- Preference will be given for 2+ years in similar position and 3+ years in high volume production environment in an engineering or maintenance role.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of motor controls, web steering and tension mechanisms.
- Excellent electromechanical skills with logical problem solving capabilities.
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to communicate with management and vendors.
- Familiar automated equipment and controls.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
- Must be capable of lifting 25lbs repeatedly through the day
Training Requirements:
- General Workplace Safety, plus chemical hazard safety training
- Clean Room Protocol Awareness
- SoloPower training and other professional training as required
