Job Title: Automation Engineering Technician

Location: Portland, OR

Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, modifications and upgrades of the Back End Equipment (Module)
• Troubleshooting automated equipment
• Establish continuous equipment improvement plan in order to minimize equipment down time and reduce the cost of ownership
• Work in conjunction with the process development engineers in the incorporation of all new products
• Provide technical support to process engineering, maintenance technicians, and the manufacturing organization
• Define and provide PM and maintenance procedures and training for the equipment maintenance team
• Ability to work well and interface with others across all areas of the organization

Education & Experience:

• A.S. degree in related technologies / engineering – oriented field
• Preference will be given for 2+ years in similar position and 3+ years in high volume production environment in an engineering or maintenance role

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Practical knowledge of automation and control systems
• Excellent electromechanical skills with logical problem solving capabilities
• Experience with leak detection equipment trouble shooting methodologies
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to communicate with management and vendors

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
• Must be capable of lifting 25lbs repeatedly through the day
