Job Title: Automation Equipment Engineer
Location: Portland, OR
Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, modifications and upgrades of the Back End Equipment
- Develop or define equipment controls
- Establish continuous equipment improvement plan in order to minimize equipment down time and reduce the cost of ownership
- Work in conjunction with the process development engineers in the incorporation of all new products
- Provide technical support to process engineering, maintenance technicians, and the manufacturing organization
- Define and provide PM and maintenance procedures and training for the equipment maintenance team
- Ability to work well and interface with others across all areas of the organization
Education & Experience:
- B.S. degree or a minimum of 5 years experience as an Equipment Engineer
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of different Back End Assembly Equipment and related technology
- Practical knowledge of automation and control systems
- Excellent electromechanical skills with logical problem solving capabilities
- Experience with leak detection equipment trouble shooting methodologies
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to communicate with management and vendors
- Familiar with roll to roll systems and automation controls
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
- Must be capable of lifting 25lbs repeatedly through the day
Training Requirements:
- General Workplace Safety, plus chemical hazard safety training
- Clean Room Protocol Awareness
- SoloPower training and other professional training as required
