Location: Portland
Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Investigate causes of yield loss in the manufacturing process and lead appropriate teams to drive to resolution
- Prepare and present reports to management or cross-functional groups showing recent finding, progress, and timeline for improvement
- Work with other departments, e.g. Process Engineering, Equipment Support, Quality, Mfg Mgt team, etc. to ensure activities are managed in an effective and coordinated way and that new solutions are implemented into the Production Line effectively
- Contribute to meeting Daily Production Targets
- Develop tools, methods and resources to ensure higher yields preferably with a cost/cycle time benefit
- Lead one or more technicians with FA or Yield focus to assist in completion of above
Education & Experience :
- Math/Statistics or Engineering degree preferred; Bachelor degree or higher required
- Previous experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment is essential
- Previous success reducing losses and cost in a high volume manufacturing environment
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Engineering statistics, data analysis; JMP or R preferred, root cause analysis
- Ability to lead one or more technicians as well as lead cross departmental teams
- Working knowledge of health and safety guidelines
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
- Must be capable of lifting 25lbs repeatedly through the day
Training Requirements:
- General Workplace Safety, plus chemical hazard safety training
- Clean Room Protocol Awareness
- SoloPower training and other professional training as required
