Job Title: Equipment Engineer
Location: Portland, OR
Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment
- Tracks and analyses equipment performance
- Creates corrective action plans for poor performing tools
- Maintains spare parts cost and inventory
- Works with cross functional teams to achieve production goals
- Reduces cost of tool operation
- Improves overall productivity of manufacturing tool set
- Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur
- Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
- Work is somewhat complex and may include highly complex and broadly defined parameters
- High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex problems and developing recommendations
Education & Experience:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, M.S. degree preferred.
- A minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing line.
- Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical & electrical system design and maintenance.
- Two years working on high vacuum production equipment.
- Two years working on wet chemical processing equipment.
- Two years working on manufacturing automation equipment.
- Roll to Roll Equipment experience is a plus.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills including Solid Works, AutoCAD
- Practical knowledge of geometric tolerances
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work on his/her feet for the entire shift
- Must be capable of lifting 25lbs repeatedly through the day
- Ability to work flexible hours
Training Requirements:
- General Workplace Safety
- Clean Room Protocol Awareness
- SoloPower training and other professional training as required
