Job Title: Quality Technician

Scope & Purpose of Job:

To perform Inspection, testing and other quality-related tasks on Incoming, In-Process and Outgoing materials and products. To assist in gathering, input and manipulation of data related to quality activities.

Descriptions of Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform general inspection and quality tasks as directed.
• Use measuring, inspecting and testing tools including calipers, testers and computerized measuring tools.
• Maintain inspection and quality databases as assigned.
• Maintain quality control and related charts and metrics.
• Transfer materials between departments as required.
• Perform quality audit inspections as assigned.
• Assist in other departments as assigned.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum HS diploma. Some College a plus
• Minimum 3 years in a quality inspector / technician role

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Familiar with basic inspection procedures, protocols and inspection tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiar with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Knowledge of JMP or similar SPC programs a plus.
• Quality auditing experience a plus.

Training Requirements:

• As required. Inspection, testing, CTS, etc.
