Job Title: Chemical/Electrochemical Process Development Engineer

Scope & Purpose of Job: PV Cell Development

Scope & Purpose of Job:

Solopower is a well funded and rapidly expanding CIGS based PV start-up in San Jose, CA. We have an opening for an accomplished Chemical/Electrochemical development engineer. Requirements for the position are a demonstrated ability to conceive, conduct, and bring development projects to a meaningful conclusion in the general area of photovoltaic cell technology, with specific experience in at least one of the following:

• Electrochemical deposition processes and analytical techniques
• Thin film and solar cell characterization techniques
• Roll-to-roll processing

Experience in CIGS PV cell development is desirable.

Education & Experience :

• Minimum Education: Ph.D. preferred
• At least five years of experience in the field of electrolytic deposition processes. Additional experience in electroless/chemical deposition and substrate cleaning is a plus.
• PV experience especially related to CIGS is a plus

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Statistical data analysis
• Statistical process control (SPC)
• Effective communication skills
