Daniel A. Gross

Mr. Gross is an investment Partner of Hudson Clean Energy Partners, principally focused on the solar sector. On Hudson’s behalf, he has served on the board of directors of Calisolar, Recurrent Energy and Solopower. Prior to Hudson, Daniel was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he was a senior member of the U.S. alternative energy investment business within the Special Situations Group. At Goldman, Daniel headed efforts to invest in photovoltaic solar, including investments in First Solar and SunEdison, for which he served on the board of directors.
Prior to Goldman, Daniel was Senior Vice President in GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services unit where he founded the renewable energy investment business and closed over $1 Billion of energy-sector investments in common equity, mezzanine, leases, loans and tax equity partnerships. Daniel’s professional contributions to the field of renewable energy finance include structuring and leading the first ever U.S. project financing of a rooftop photovoltaic installation as well as the first and only wind project to receive a Private Letter Ruling from the IRS which subsequently became the basis of the safe harbor rules for tax equity flip structures.
Daniel is a Fulbright Scholar and holds a Masters in Environmental Management, MBA and BA from Yale University.
